The Resurrection of Jesus gives hope to the world-and do we need it! The world is full of situations which seem hopeless: a brutal war in Syria; a world financial crisis which brings hardships to so many; competing factions who resort to violence in Libya, Egypt, Mali, Iraq, Afghanistan and so on. In our own country and in our own state, the problems are many and even the answers are painful. In our families and in our personal lives, the shadow of suffering sometimes creeps in. Yet, we remember Jesus’ words to his disciples, “Do not worry; do not fear.” Today we remember the Risen Lord and his promises of life and hope. May God bless you and your loved ones on this holy day. Happy Easter, everyone.
