“Ovarian Cancer? You can NOT be serious!” captures the author’s personal journey with Stage III Ovarian Cancer. Janice Coggins, MSW, also discusses her struggles with stuttering and a seizure disorder both with which she was diagnosed as a child. She discusses her “5 Fs”, anchors that have grounded her throughout life — family, friends, faith, focus, finish. “Each person will find their own survival tactics,” Janice states. The book is easy to read and many will be able to identify this story of survival. The book highlights Janice’s determination not to allow cancer (or any other personal struggle) to define her life and her desire to live each day gratefully in the present.
